Like many before me, I fell in love with the American West as soon as I came to the US, back in 2005, and in particular Utah. In a recent trip to the Utah-Arizona border, I discovered this otherworldly landscape that is Moonscape Overlook. Emphasized by the soft morning light of a cloudy sunrise, the stunning and desolated landscape, with its cliffs, ridges, and infinite dried riverbeds in the ground, evoked to me the infinite opportunities one can choose for their life. Contrasting that with the “Morning on the Tetons” image illustrates to me how the choices we make also impact the environment we live in.
